The best you can say about this entry is that it is a natural growing tree. Look at the extension cord. How tacky! I have my doubts if Skipper is a Christmas Tree. It has lights and it appears that the owners are really looking after it by the snow clearing around the tree. What was the snow clearing for? Was it for clearing to the composter or was it for praying to Allah? It looks like the lights are pointing to the East.
It came close to winning this year as it was alive, at least six months of the year, but just wasn't good enough.

The photographer could have done a better job, he must have been in a hurry to enter this contest. I must say we get enjoyment all year round from this tree called Skipper. Now about "ugly" I do not agree. Come around in May, it is beautiful. This year we sure have a variety of trees in the contest...at least Skipper is a live tree.
Whoever said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" was drinking too much rum if someone would think the 1st runner up was not 'ugly'.
